I am a relatively new quilter and joined this board as a source for inspiration and advice and have felt most welcome. Each time I see your work it captivates my imagination and is visually delightful. Can you tell me a bit about how you evolved your techniques...any books, classes or mentors that inspired you in a certain direction? I am pretty much over traditional piecing, maybe a "guy thing" but would love a hint as to how you evolved into making the quilts you recently posted? I live in the middle of nowhere and any classes near me are very traditional and that is where I have been and not where I would like to go..
