I bought a Sunbeam at Walmart for $10 and it works great, and no shut off! I have to replace one of my cheap irons about once every ten years or so. I keep seeing reports about expensive irons and spitting problems. Never had one so just assume others are telling the truth. Just remember to ALWAYS use distilled water in an iron to avoid deposit build up in the iron. I also use distilled water in my spray bottle that lives on the ironing board.
