BEWARE every microwave is different.... you should see my original recipe as I have made it over the years in 3 different microwaves..... and I must admit I have burned a few batches.. I love this recipe... 1 cup granulated sugar, 1/2 cup each Karo ( don't buy cheap stuff) and water . Microwave for 7 minutes.... then dump in 1 cup raw Spanish peanuts, microwave 6 more minutes, then add 1 T vanilla microwave 3 minutes.... take out and add 1 t baking soda... work fast and stir until thoroughly mixed and foamy... spread on buttered cookie sheet or pizza pan... I spread mine out ( as I don't like it really thick)..... As mentioned above use a large glass bowl... I like the 2 quart pampered chef bowl with handle.... Be very careful... this syrup is very hot and you can really burn yourself... you will need to soak your bowl as it is hard as a rock when cools....... this brittle is not at all sticky... and always gets compliments. Good luck.
