I used scraps this Christmas to make crazy patch potholders. People really seemed to like get them as gifts! If I had a few minutes I would sew one up while waiting for something in the oven etc. I just kept my basket of scraps right next to my machine to make it readily available. If I have to hunt for things it kills my motivation.
