I did have a quilt hung there for a few months. It was attached with a rod running through several tabs attached to the quilt. It definitely had enough tabs to distribute the weight but I had to remove it because it started to sag in the center. It was a large quilt to fill the big space and I guess it didn't have enough quilting to keep it from sagging.
