Thanks! You've got that right!

Funny you should mention curtains -- a few years ago, I took the sliding doors off my closet and replaced them with curtain panels made from a king-sized sheet from Ross; super cheap and already "hemmed"! I made them really full so that they look nice, and, boy -- they sure make looking through your clothes a lot easier!

As for curtains in my sewing room, I think -- because I get into the things on these shelves so often -- I would find them to be a nuisance. Given my limited space, I don't think I have enough room to store the fabric on shelves anyway -- right now a lot is stored in containers on top of the shelves. If I put all of that ON the shelves, something else would have to take its place, and I can't imagine what I could put up there and still have it accessible. [I'm not super-tall, so getting those containers down is a stretch as it is! :) ]

But see, this is what so cool about putting my pics up: people see things that I may not have. Since I'm the first to admit that I don't have the final answer on anything, one of these things might be just what I need. [And even if *I* can't use an idea, that shouldn't stop someone else from using it!! ]

Thanks, Lynsews, and everyone else, too!
