Most of this was done last year. I got the final block on Dec. 27th. I wasn't going to put it together right away, but my shoulder was hurting from FMQ'ing on a pretty good size quilt that I was wrestling with on my DSM so I thought I'd take a break and "piece". I also had a 4 day weekend over New Years so I had extra sewing time. I chose the blue & yellow border because I did not want the quilt to look babyish. There's a fair amount of pink in it. The back is done with the yellow fabric too. I know you are all right when you say the quilt will end up with the person who is meant to have it. Time will reveal that.
