My neighbor's daughter, Sydney came over yesterday with her new little sewing machine. She learned what the parts of the machine are called, how to sew a straight line and not run over her fingers. She also learned how frustrating it is to have to stop and rethread your needle! LOL It was a great afternoon. She wants to make a pillow for her bed. I think we can manage that

Sydney and I love the same things - crafts, pink, girly lace and frills, shoes that sparkle or light up and now sewing. Hence, my "mini me". Her Nana just taught her to knit too! I'm amazed how fast she is able to learn and master all these skills. She just recently turned 7.
