OK, the lever pointing up with the slot in it is what determines where the thread loads on the bobbin.

>To adjust it first make sure all the screws are tight.
>Make sure the bobbins fit all the way on the shaft, and properly engage the little peg.
>If there is a lot of play between the large winder drive wheel and the horizontal shaft, this can be adjusted. The large screw through the center has an eccentric on it. Loosen the square nut on the back, then turn it slightly till the play is just removed. Then hold the screw and tighten the square nut.
>Then bend the lever in the direction you want more thread, just a tiny bit. Then test it. Repeat till you get it set where you want it.
>Don't bend the lever too much as it can break.

I think I have a better worded detailed adjustment procedure somewhere in my files. I'll look later today. Right now I have to get gone to fix a snafu caused by the health insurance dolts.
