The Fibromyalgia is interesting to me. As a family law attorney, it comes up when we deal with support issues. People who have illnesses like that are often fighting for their positions, and that they have a "real" illness...many courts (read judges) and attorneys, and their former spouses, believe it's a made-up illness, or at best, exaggerated. If it comes up in one of my cases again (had it once), I'll contact you (KLue and Tiffany) to point me to the latest research and thinking on the illness.

In my one case, my client suffered from it tremendously. Her ex was saying she needed to get to work and stop living "off him"...but he dropped his claims. She really was quite sick and incapacitated so much. The court case only made things worse...Fortunately, he dropped the matter and continues to pay her support. I often wonder how she's doing...probably not well. It was really hard for her to just get up every day.
