My quilting goal this year is finish 2x as many quilts as I start!

This quilt was a class at a group about 6 years ago, and I always hated it, never felt motivated to finish.

As I was organizing and photographing all my UFO's I had an epiphany....

The quilt was originally nine 13" squares with 2.5 inch sashing. I had started to do some crazy quilt embellishing to it... But it didn't speak to me.

The changes: (with Rory testing how slippery it is on the floor for me)
I sliced each block into 12x 4 inch strips, sewed two back together, and added 1 inch sashing. (I have to piece a bit more for one section)

What is next is to bring back into the quilt some of the green/blue tones, in another round of sashing, which will set off each row, and then...well, it is kind of happening as it happens.
I am MUCH happier with it now!
