Yes, we are a Subaru family. We got our first one in the early 80's, and we are now in our 4th one. Our favorite was a 1999 Outback which we bought new in May of 1999. Since our every day car is also a 1999 Subaru Legacy sedan, we mainly used the Outback for trips. In October of 2011 my husband had put new tires on the front instead of the back, and driving through the mountains of North Carolina, he started skidding on a deep left turn and off the side of the mountains we went. We rolled at least four times. Frank was driving, I was in the passenger seat, and a friend, Janis, was in the back seat behind Frank. But remember we were in a Subaru. Absolutely no broken bones, I had two bruises, Frank had a few, and Janis had a lot of bruises because she hadn't held on to anything, and just let herself go with the flow of the car. When the sheriff came, he told Frank that that is a very bad curve, and many cars had gone over at that point, but so far no survivors until the 3 of us in the Subaru. So we firmly owe our lives to Subaru. They had to cut the top of the car off to get Janis and myself out of it, so we had to say a sad Good-Bye to our Outback. 12 years old and only 56,000 miles on it.
