Quilt shops or fabric stores near Amqui Quebec Canada
Hello all. I recently returned from a trip to Amqui Quebec. Funny story... I don't speak much French and didn't know the word for quilt. My future son-in-law sews but didn't know the word either. As we went about our errands, we asked about quilt shops and no one seemed to know. You'd think folks in a very cold climate would know about quilts! We drove past a shop that had the word tissu on the sign... aha! a store that sells fabric! My SIL is fluent in French and English but still found it hard to find the words to ask about the things I was curious about. The shop owner, Sylvie Bilanger, was delightful and spoke a little English. She is a Brother dealer and also deals in yarn. I thought I could find out about a guild/club/ or other quilters from her, but apparently there are no clubs. The shop name is Boutique Ti-Su. Any suggestions on how to find other quilt/fabric stores in the area or how to connect with other quilters?
