Default Fun and wonky string quilt

The September 2014 issue of AQS magazine had an article by Gwen Marson about contemporary string quilts. That was the inspiration for the design of this quilt that I did for my niece, who is about to have her second child. Also, I recently viewed one of Angela Walter's Craftsy classes, called "dot-to-dot" quilting; the designs she taught there were the basis of the quilting I did. This quilt was really fun, and I'm very happy with how it came out. The back is flannel. I quilted on my LA, and then used a decorative stitch on my DSM for the edges of the purple sashing.
