Ambitious project. I wish you luck. I made one in a regular queen size, and I know how cumbersome it can become. Please make sure to post a picture when it's finished. The colors sound awesome. A bed skirt should be able to take up the slack that you can't add to the quilt, perhaps in a dual teal and silver pattern.
