When I use the June Taylor Shape Cut I place a 6" x 12" on the Shape Cut to help stabilize it. I put the ruler on the plastic strip I'm going to cut, but not at the edge. For example, if I'm cutting a 6" strip, I put the ruler between 5-1/2 and 6. Then I can hold the ruler without getting my fingers too close to the cutting slot. Also, when doing this, I find that if I use the 6 x 12 ruler upside down it is easier to use.

Hope you heal quickly.
I'll have to try this trick. I probably would have needed a stitch even though it didn't look like much at the time. When I changed the bandage this morning, there was more bleeding. Or perhaps I should have used the glue as someone suggested.
