This picture is of the zipper pinned along the edge with the lining on top. I have it ready to sew along the pinned edges and the zipper will be sandwiched between the focus fabric outside and the white lining layer. It is perched open on top of my machine so you can hopefully see what I mean. Of course the pieces are pushed to one side when it goes under your needle so you sew one side at a time which the picture shows in Debbie's tutorial.
