The interesting thing about this block is that when you put a row together is that you get 2 distinct patterns. A pinwheel block and a Square in a square block. I drew out all 3 in EQ7 and then used the pinwheel & SqNSq in an on-point quilt setting. The quilts are the same.

I looked in Block Base and found the block there. It is referred to as N014 Notes say: Economy Patch (Hall) I found a block called Economy Patch on the Internet and the only difference is that the corners are solid, so no pinwheel effect is seen when a quilt is created. http://www.generations-quilt-pattern...ilt-block.html
