thanks for the tip on the blade. I'm going to JoAnn's today and will pick one up....I think the fraying is my pet peeve.

Just my 2 cents worth on washing. I am making a tulip quilt as a graduation gift for one of my grandaughters. I'm using RED hand dyed & batik fabric.Good thing I decided to wash it ....just in case. The red did run a lot, especially the batiks and would have ruined my beautiful quilt. I used the color catcher and as a secondary precaution soaked all the fabric in vinegar water until I saw no more "pink." I now feel secure that she won't have a pink/red streaked quilt the first time it is washed. :D
