I like my Omnigrids. I have a couple EZ Quilt from when I started quilting, and really dislike them--ridges on the bottom catch on things and lines are really thick so harder to be very accurate.
I have gradually acquired my rulers for specific projects/uses. Have a 6"x24", squares in 4.5, 5, 9.5 and 12.5 sizes (really like to use those to square up blocks--easier than moving one ruler around.) Also Tri-recs and a 60* triangle, and a June Taylor Dresden ruler (from a stack and whack class) and a fringe maker ruler for microfleece blankets. Couldn't do without my add-a-quarter for paper piecing.
Oh, and a set of charm quilt templates (half hex, tumbler, etc.) and some drunkard's path templates, which I really want to use but just haven't gotten to yet!
Most wasted cutting tool? My rotating mat. Just don't like using it.
