The hardest part of this very nice pattern is keeping the strips in order. Take your time and be organized. It will work great if you are comfortable with the pattern you found.
This was one of my first quilt too and I learned a lot about reading patterns and understanding them. Make a practice block or several. Pressing seams in the opposite directions so they nest when piecing the blocks.
