Cathy, sorry I misspoke....I'll chalk it up to breaking my arm a week ago...can't to ANY quilting/sewing of any kind!
You use a spray starch...which in itself creates a steam environment. I haven't used mine for a few months so had to go back and look. So...leaving the iron on too long after spray starching can warp. I probably just got a little too aggressive.
