ohhh loverly...... Those sew SO well. Really. It is a copy of the singer 12 mechanism but made as a high arm in germany. Think BMW but sewing machine. Singer did not go the high arm 12 route because at this time they were introducing the VS2 and IF machines and considered this tech "old"

That looks to be in very unused condition. well cared for. You are fortunate. With care that machine should work in another 100 years easily.

It looks to me like that large front right screw is the bed hold down. It will probably have to come completely out.

The boat shuttle will either have a tiny tension screw on the spring, or it will have a row of holes to weave it through to adjust tension. The later being the "oldest" of the old stuff, the screw and spring being the newer tech for boat shuttles (most likely on yours)
