Dremel holds up better for me too. I think I will try a dab of hot glue from one of my glue guns and see how it holds up. Being a licensed nail technician by trade I know how brittle and flaky cyanoacrylates are so I wouldn't really want to use any super glues.

I also use the Dremel stiff black plastic brush bit for getting in and around the chrome parts that I do not want to remove from the machine. Doesn't hurt the paint at all.

I only use the metal wire brush for the tough jobs. I wear wrap around safety glasses that have 2.0 diopters so I can see what I am doing. They are cheap and wearing only one pair of glasses is so much better for me.
