I have had a Juki TL 98QE since 2007. I use it almost every day. Knock on wood, never been serviced. I keep it oiled and cleaned out. BabyLock Jane since 2010, same thing. I use both, feet interchangeable. Both need cleaning and oiling. Both work when I want them.
