My favorite way to fix an Angel Food Cake:
you slice off the top, set it aside, pinch out a trench around the cake, then layer in sliced bananas, Cool Whip, layer of strawberries, Cool Whip, layer of pineapple and more Cool Whip. Return the ring of cake you sliced off earlier and then frost the entire cake with Cool Whip.
We really like to use real whipped cream but found that depending on the weather if it will stay fluffy, so Cool Whip or Dream Whip will work.

My mother used to do the instant pudding and Dream Whip frosting - I loved it!

The problem is - the cake needs to be eaten quickly. Since it is just the two of us now I don't make it anymore.
