A couple friends of mine and I tried our hand at hand dyeing. It was fun but we didn't try it with the microwave as we were doing 1 yard sizes. As I lived in Florida at the time, we just laid the fabric out in the sun to dry (doesn't take long there). That was maybe 10 years ago and I still have some of my fabrics in my stash.
