Thanks ladies. I was pleasantly surprised at all the mug rugs. I think I will try to talk her into starting with strips or squares. I think she could even handle simple appliques. Thought I would tell her to look at coloring books for simple drawings to applique. As she gets her confidence built up maybe she will try more involved rugs. I really like the pieced and then appliqued ones. Gets me thinking of Christmas gifts for next Christmas. I have about a dozen friends that I would like to make something simple and NOT expensive. I think even the men would use them if it pertained to things they were interested in. (cars, golf, tractors, racing, etc. Thanks again, I had forgotten to google. Don't use this darn computer as much as others. We have pretty slow internet service where I live. They say it's because we are "off the grid" even though fiber optics is under the road in front of the house. They don't want to connect to our homes.. That's AT&T for you.
