I buy any where from 3 to 6yrds. I've gone to buy 8ydrs, or 12-15 yrds for backing. But not very often. Mostly 3-6 yrds. I know what you mean, by haveing it lay around. I may get the urge to refold my stash. That's not very often, to much stash.
