Far better than some I've seen. The person who did the conversion did a nice job on the base. Other than the bobbin cover and plate for the spool pin I think that machine could sew again.
The "shaker" stand: The Shakers were known for the elegance and simplicity of their designs, they didn't believe in ornamentation just for ornamentation's sake. No way would that have came from their shops. The seller would have been better to say Victorian instead. It does look a bit top heavy to me.
