I read all of the wonderful reviews and I think I want an AccuQuilt, but when I watch you tubes, and go the sites, all I can see is having to cut fabric down to size and a lot of wasted material. Please share with me what I am missing so that I won't be able to live without one.
I usually have 1/4" of waste fabric around each die shape. About the same as I waste by squaring up using a rotary cutter. Most of the demos are showing how to use the die will waste fabric because it's faster to demo that way. How you use it determines fabric waste. Fretting over fabric waste is a kill joy for me so I don't fret about it. Besides the waste turns into scraps that so many treasure.
