I like the Singer 328's, too. I don't think they are overly noisy as some complain. Did you know they can be used in a treadle? They are a simple to use and maintain machine, mostly all metal, sew about anything you throw at one, the needle can be centered or not and they do a good variety of stitches if you have plenty of disks - they have a cute little froggie eye, too. What more can you ask for?
