After reading the information in the above link I don't think we have anything to worry about. I believe Patrice is just trying to keep everyone from getting into a stampede we don't need to get into. Basically, for the every day Jane and Joe just don't make copies of patterns you bought and sell them as your own or give them out in a guild or class.
