I should have mentioned my mother in-law, love them dearly, was from Scotland. they are from the MacKenzie clan I have our tartan. she was a young from glascow who married a young from edinbourough. I am from nova scotia Canada and am making a house quilt. I am using the nova scotia tartan on the roof of the houses with the colors from the tartan as the solid colors and the Mackenzie tartan for the doors on the house.
your quilt sounds like it will be fun. I will keep an eye out for it appearing on the boards. Strangely enough my elder sis now resident in Katy was married to a Young from Glasgow.
