Oh my, if I could schedule my projects I would probably get a lot more done. That said, I sort of fly by the seat of my pants on projects, unless there is a deadline for the project. Right now I am about to begin making the family reunion quilt for our July 4th family reunion in KS, although I will not be going as I can't afford the trip. I finished ironing all the fabric yesterday, so now begins the cutting and sewing. I have a proposed deadline in my head, the middle of March, so I can ship it off to my niece so she can long arm quilt it, like she did the last one. I will probably be scheduling shoulder replacement surgery the end of March, beginning of April, time frame depends on when I finish the quilt. The Dr. assures me that I will have little to no pain after the recovery period, so I hope he is right, as I am having a great deal of trouble dealing with the constant pain. Because of that I can only sew/quilt/iron or whatever in small windows of time, but if I don't give myself a deadline I will procrastinate. That probably doesn't help, but that's how I deal with projects.
