are you sewing just one block, or combining several different blocks?
if you choose one constant fabric it will really help pull anything scrappy together.
And (or many!) example is Bonnie Hunter mysteries.

We may be using 20 different reds and 40 different blues and lots of mixed neutrals, but we always choose one fabric as our constant to keep everything pulled together. Good luck with your project be sure and show us photos!
