We have to keep the house numbers on the curb for the local fire department. We got the whole set of numbers and letters at the local hardware store, I think True Value. It is the stencil kind. We taped some of them together to make our house number and then he spray paints them when it starts to fade on the concrete curbs. You could do that and then just use fabric paint which would be easier for you then applique. I think A.C. Moore and Michaels have them too in all sizes. Good luck.
