Sounds like bobbin tension is off. First make sure that there's no lint or extra threads in the case. If it's clear, then make TINY adjustments to the bobbin case tension. First mark the position of the screw with a bit of nail polish (varnish?) Then adjust. Righty tighty. Like a quarter turn. Test, another quarter turn test. Etc.
