I would do an internet search on ratings for all the machines you are considering. There's a website with ratings on all kinds of machines, I just forget what website it is at the moment. I remember using it a few years ago when I bought my Babylock. Good luck to you. I fell in love with the Janome Horizon 7700 (with the red on the front) a few years ago at a major quilt show, and was surprised to read some negative ratings on it recently. Alas, I forget what that problem was, too. But you'll find it if you do a search for sewing machine ratings.
