Congratulations! We have all experienced that "aha" moment in some aspect of our life and it is like a large exhale of relief after holding your breath for so long LOL Personally I find a stipple more stressful than other designs, so you are doing great. Somehow I have trouble figuring out where I have been and where I want to go next, especially on printed fabric. Hang in there and the other designs will come to you in time. I found out that doing it on paper was fine, but not a perfect substitute for fabric. When I made a practice sandwich piece I drew in squares, rectangles and borders to practice how to fill in the space and not "paint" myself into a corner. If it did happen, I just backtracked along an outside line to get to the other space and moved on from there. I still have tons to learn, but since it has only been a few months, I remember the hesitation and fear to even begin on fabric. Can't wait to see your quilt and future quilts as you master this.
