I think I will use the Bonnie Hunter method of Leaders & Enders to start sewing this while I am sewing other things.
THis pattern is so great for many types of prints. It's a go to pattern. For me, I can work this one up in scrappy, using white or generally muslin background piece with my solid color. It's great for red white blue quilts.Scrappy, floral, bold colors or soft. You can also make "manly" looking quilt by using shirting or plaid, then work up a darker blue, or brown color for the solid I've used I spy material in the little squares, bold/bright solid..As I stated earlier you can make it larger than a lap, just by expanding on out with more "rounds" of blocks. You can even switch the solid color on each "go round". Can you tell I LOOOVE this pattern? LOL. Anyway, I 'm glad others like it as well. It's a great, quick pattern so useful in so many ways.
