QVC sells the electric pressure cookers from time to time and great cook books - so I was all excited about them and finally got one. It is so wonderful! The flavor is so great. I originally wanted the smaller 4 quart model, but my husband couldn't find that one, so got the larger model. It can do the canning but I stopped doing that years ago. Have to admit, I am so glad he got the larger model, it can do a lot more and if you want to make less that is okay too. You don't have to fill it each time.
I have used it to make rice - it was wonderful too. But so far, out favorite is chicken stew.
