I wanted to make something cute for display that shouted spring has sprung! :-) Just a little piece to change out with the present Table Runner I had displayed over our dining area. I saw a pattern that intrigued me on shttp://www.craftpassion.com/?s=Songbird-tree-sun-applique-patterns&x=0&y=0un-applique-patterns. I have changed the pattern somewhat from half a tree with one branch to a whole tree with two branches and the smaller limbs are actually the cut-outs between the thin branch and the wider branches. It just seemed to need more. ;-) So, I got out my scraps and cut out several leaves, and the musical notes. I'm still thinking about putting some little butterflies in the lower corners, but hung it without them for now.
