Sounds good to me. Do you add the sashing on all four sides or do you still join rows with one long strip of sashing? It does make sense to add the same width sashing on front and back and quilt that as you join blocks. Thanks. Has me thinking. What is the smallest finished width sashing you think you can join without too much difficulty?
