I've been practicing a little with the paperpiecing you mentioned about not stitching throughit. Is so easy. Love your quilts.

The book contains several patterns for 14" MC blocks but best of all gives very good directions on how to draft your own to any size. The book contains a pull out pattern for some larger sizes. I think they finish at around 36"? Can't remember. In the pictured quilt I used the pattern for the center compass and drafted my own for the outer compass and partial compass. the book also teaches you how to use the freezer paper method of paper piecing, which I loved and have used a lot since. You don't stitch through the paper but next it (folded over) so you can reuse pattern pieces multiple times and there is no tedious removal.
