Thanks to everybody for you wonderfully kind comments. To answer the wondering minds that want to know, I pieced the top the summer of 2013 while travelling in our RV on my featherweight. Small pieces, small project, right?? So right at 6 months start to finish. Then I quilted it this year on my Janome 8900 in 3 days, remember, I am insane!!
The pattern is called Pineapple Crazy. It's in Bonnie's String Fling book. This quilt is for my bed and my cat to sleep upon. That's what I made it for, the ribbons were just icing on the cake!
And lastly the gift basket. Over $500 of goodies from our local quilt shop, Once Upon A Quilt, fabric, patterns, kits, tools, candle and a gift certificate, oh my!! I'm still on cloud 9!!
