I'm really surprised that your dealer is holding fast to those quoted prices. Is that the only Janome dealer for hundreds of miles? Buying a sewing machine is just like buying a car---The dealers all seem to be cut from the same haggling cloth. What else is she willing to throw in to sweeten the deal? Patrice recommends the additional AccuFeed 1/4 foot and the AccuFeed open toe foot. How many free lessons? Usually, if they let you walk out the door, you've heard their lowest price. Have you given her any indication that many think that her prices should be negotiated downward? Many find this process very uncomfortable but this is a major item. Do you have state tax which could add quite a bit to the cost of this machine? Our local Janome dealer sells for MSRP minus 30% and throws in extras.
