Thank you for pointing this out. DH is red/green color blind which means his eyes cancel out red and green pigments. A lot of colors are made up of combinations that use varying amounts of red and/or green pigments. I have always wanted to get into his head to see how he sees the world.
My favorite color is hot pink. He cannot see the red in hot pink BUT he can see the blue in the hot pink. I stopped wearing red and pink lipstick because when I stopped to think about it I realized he was seeing lips blue if I was wearing a hot pink and black if I was wearing a red lipstick. I love bright red poinsettias but he sees a black plant. Not pretty in my opinion. I see brilliant sunsets, he sees blue (the hot pink or purple) and yellow sunsets usually.
