That looks like about what I have in mind. I was hoping someone would be able to recommend one they'd made themselves and could tell me if it's beginner-friendly - I'm really a newbie when it comes to making things from patterns....I don't even use quilt patterns, just my own sketches.

I tried to make a hat from a purchased pattern not too long ago and it was a resounding failure, LOL. It sort of looks like a hat, if you take your glasses off and squint!
