Phrojangles: The thread upside down hanging from the chandalier is so I don't go broke just buying thread. I used well over 3K yards in my last quilt. I started buying serger thread to save money and I'm too cheap to buy an adapter so it's hanging upside down from the chandalier using a binder clip, a rubber band and a paper clip. When I want to change cones I just unclip the binder clip and clip the new one on.
